In deep darkness, surrounded by hundreds of jungle sounds and with the help of powerful lights, you enter a world inhabited by the most unique, diverse and shy creatures. Many animals, especially insects, amphibians and reptiles, hide from predators during the day. This means that nighttime is the best time to find beautiful tree frogs, shy snakes and other jungle creatures that only come out at night. From nocturnal monkeys to Poison Dart Frogs, from Tarantulas to Stick Insects, you never know what amazing creature you will encounter. .

In the afternoon we will explore the ichthyological wealth of the Amazon. This time we will navigate the mighty Tambopata River in search of a variety of fish such as: catfish, pacos, boquichicos, damselfish, etc. Our expert guide will teach us the art of fishing and the different techniques they use to fish. The third day we got up very early to head to the chuncho macaw clay lick . Clay licks are exposed areas where birds and mammals come to eat clay rich in minerals. Chuncho is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular clay licks in the Amazon, located on the cliffs within the reserved area. It is visited by 3 species of macaws such as: Red and green macaws (Ara chloropterus ), blue and yellow macaws (Ara ararauna ), and scarlet macaw (Ara macao ).

To get there we take a trip of approximately 30 minutes by river in our motorized boat, on the way we will have an incredible opportunity to see wildlife; as well as the imposing jaguar ( Panthera Onca ), families of ronsocos ( Hydrochoerus  hydrochaeris ) that swim and cool off on the banks of the river, to the black caiman ( Melanosuchus niger ) and sometimes the howler monkey that comes down to the banks to drink water. Once we arrive at the collpa , we will settle in a suitable place for breakfast and enjoy the most beautiful natural spectacle of the birdlife that brings together hundreds of macaws, parrots and parakeets that interact and socialize while eating the clay from the cliffs. We will wait for the arrival of these magnificent birds, they can appear in pairs or families from different sites in the forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and a well-deserved rest.

In the afternoon , we climb the 50-meter-high observation tower , where you can feel the adrenaline at every step. Once you reach the platform, you can enjoy an impressive landscape framed by an endless sea of treetops, the dense vegetation of the forest can be appreciated. After that, we return to our lodge enjoying a beautiful sunset by the Tambopta River.

The time has come to say goodbye to our sun king, the horizon is painted in golden and reddish tones before the setting sun, which combined with the crystal clear waters of the lake create a landscape of complete  serenity. We stay in the lake until nightfall, in complete silence we continue sailing in the darkness to find caimans and other species that come to drink water in the lake; along the shores of the lake we can see a variety of caimans since these are easier to spot at night, they are waiting for their prey, from several meters away we will light up with flashlights and the eyes of these magnificent reptiles will shine, it is known to say that the jungle has more life at night than during the day.
