Juvenal Quispe Ccohaquira
Director and founder of Terra Verde Expeditions
Juvenal Quispe was born in a small village near an indigenous Matsiguenka community in the Manu province. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming an automotive engineer, but economic limitations led him to dedicate himself initially to agriculture. His life took an unexpected turn when he met Oliver Valentí, a foreign businessman who inspired him to discover his true vocation in tourism.
His first experience as a guide was accompanying an American couple, a moment that awakened in him a passion for sharing the beauty of the Amazon. In 2005, he decided to formally study to become a tour guide, combining his studies with practice and improving his command of English, which opened up more opportunities. Juvenal trained by working as a guide in recognized tourism companies in the sector, where he perfected his skills and deepened his commitment to responsible tourism.
Today, Juvenal leads Terra Verde Expeditions with his brothers Grimaldo, Fredy and José Manuel, in a company that reflects the resilience and joint effort of the entire Quispe family. Each plays an essential role within the organization: while Juvenal directs and coordinates operations, Grimaldo is in charge of sales and logistics, Fredy brings his expertise in passionate cooking while Jose Manuel is in charge of administration and planning, also as an expert wildlife guide, he connects travelers with the natural richness of the Amazon.
This family union is the driving force behind Terra Verde’s mission to offer authentic, sustainable experiences that are deeply connected to the local environment and culture. Terra Verde is not only a tourism company, but the result of the commitment of a family that shares a common vision: to turn Alto Tambopata into a leading eco-sustainable tourism destination, showing the world the true essence of the Peruvian Amazon.

As a leader and professional, he carefully manages and organizes every detail to ensure that the company runs efficiently and offers quality services.Born in the heart of Manu, in a small community, Grimaldo completed his primary and secondary schooling there. Motivated by his love for nature and local cultures, he decided to move to the city of Cusco to study tourism and become an official guide. His passion for sharing authentic experiences and his dedication to responsible tourism have been the pillars of his career and the success of Terra Verde Expeditions.

José Manuel, born in the city of Cusco and raised in Puerto Maldonado, brings with him a unique combination of cultural knowledge and experience in the Amazon environment. He completed his schooling in Puerto Maldonado and then decided to specialize in tourism, earning his degree as a tour guide.With a deep commitment to sustainable tourism, Jose assumed leadership of Terra Verde Lodge as an administrator. His knowledge of eco-sustainable practices and organizational skills have been key to ensuring the smooth running of the lodge. Under his direction, every detail is taken care of to offer guests an authentic, comfortable and environmentally friendly experience.José is an essential pillar for the success of Terra Verde Expeditions, standing out for his leadership, professionalism and dedication to promote responsible and high quality tourism.
Fredi Quispe

Fredi Quispe was born in the heart of Manu, surrounded by the cultural and natural richness of the Peruvian Amazon. Inspired by the flavors and traditions of his land, he moved to the city of Cusco to pursue his dream of becoming a chef. There, he completed his studies in professional gastronomy, perfecting his culinary skills and learning to fuse modern techniques with the native ingredients of the region.Today, Fredi is a key member of the Terra Verde Expeditions team, where he brings his creativity and passion for cooking. His goal is to offer travelers an authentic and memorable culinary experience, highlighting the unique flavors of the region in every dish he prepares.

With a passion for ecotourism, he decided to study Ecotourism at SENATI to become an official tour guide, specializing in a respectful and sustainable approach to the environment.With 9 years of experience, Marco has excelled in his knowledge of the local fauna, especially herpetology, and his ability to share this passion with tourists. In addition, his love for photography allows him to capture the most impressive moments of nature, enriching the experiences he offers.Marco is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish, which allows him to guide a wide variety of tourists from different parts of the world.
