At Terra Verde Expeditions we care about you and the experience you deserve,The health and safety of our travelers and team is a fundamental priority for us.

About vaccination:

Our main focus is the safety and health of our staff, the local communities and our travelers. We therefore require all travelers to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 prior to joining their programmes. This requirement is active now and will remain in place until the Peruvian government’s policy changes.

Travel insurance and Covid-19:

Terra Verde Expeditions highly recommend our travelers protect themselves against the unexpected. We recommend that travel insurance cover trip cancellation, interruption and delay benefits. Medical coverage should apply for illness or injury, and include coverage for travelers who may catch Covid-19 and/or who are forced to quarantine in their destination. It will provide you additional peace of mind and flexibility prior to your departure.

What are our biosecurity protocols for received guests?

The safety and well-being of our guests and team are a top priority. Besides following all our authorities’ indications for tour operators, ecolodges, and visiting National Reserves and Parks, here is the resume of the measurements we have applied to our lodges and operations.

Proactive and preventive measures

GENERAL HYGIENE

Handwash and soap dispenser stations throughout lodge areas.
Hand sanitizer in all rooms and bathrooms.
Guest Rooms are sterilized before check-in and daily during a Guest’s stay.
Extra cleaning protocols in rooms with a focus on high-contact areas and items like door handles.

DINING and BAR

Chefs prepare food wearing face masks and gloves.
No buffets unless the lodge is booked for exclusive use

LODGE TRANSPORTATION

All lodges, vehicles, and boats are extensively sanitized between transfers and excursions
This includes door handles and all high-contact areas.
All drivers and guides will use a mask and face protector

GUEST HEALTH CHECKS

Guests and all luggage will be treated with sanitizer on arrival. Luggage will be delivered to the door of the room.
Guests’ temperatures will be checked on arrival in Puerto Maldonado for control and sanitizer.
Medical contacts informed of high temperatures.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

In all public areas.
In the allocation of dining room tables and decks.
On boats and vehicles.
Guests will be separated 1.5 meters between family bubbles

GUEST EXPERIENCES

We recommend that Guests follow stringent hygiene practices of regular hand washing and sanitizing, limited hand face contact, social distancing, and the wearing of face masks.

You will be able to reserve a new programme with plenty of departure options beginning in September, 2021. Our new booking policies under these cases are flexible, making it easier to book easily and confidently.
