Our History
Terra Verde Expeditions was born in 2009, as a family dream of the Quispe Ccohaquira brothers, who grew up in a small village in Manu, surrounded by native Matsiguenka communities. Raised among the sounds of the jungle and ancestral teachings, they developed a deep respect for biodiversity and local traditions. When the family moved to Puerto Maldonado, the idea of creating a company that would connect travelers to the magic of the Upper Tambopata was born.
What started as a small project, driven by the desire to share their love for the Amazon, soon became a solid family venture. Each of the four brothers – Juvenal, Grimaldo, Fredy and José Manuel – took on a unique role: from strategic direction to field operations, working in perfect harmony. Terra Verde not only offers unforgettable experiences, but also promotes sustainability and respect for local communities.
Terra Verde Expeditions is more than a company; it is a reflection of the resilience, passion and commitment of a family that dreams of leading eco-sustainable tourism and belonging to a hotel chain that represents the essence of the Peruvian Amazon. Through each experience, the Quispe family invites travelers to discover not only the beauty of the Upper Tambopata, but also to be part of its history.

OUR OBJECTIVES
Our first objective is our commitment to the ENVIRONMENT.
As a tour operator in the Tambopata National Reserve we feel it is our responsibility to keep Peru’s rivers and rainforest clean and healthy for future generations. On our tours, we make every effort to ensure that we leave as little impact as possible. We educate and raise awareness among our staff and tourists to be respectful of the rainforest. We do not leave trash in the jungle, but collect it and take it back to the city of Puerto Maldonado for proper disposal. As much as possible, we use recyclable, reusable and environmentally friendly products.
Our second objective is to provide you with an AUTHENTIC JUNGLE EXPERIENCE.
Something different from all other trips in the Tambopata National Reserve, we differentiate ourselves by offering 100% nature trips.
We are the only company that offers you a combination of two great attractions within the reserved area, COLLPA DE GUACAMAYOS CHUNCHO AND LAKE SANDOVAL all in one program.We also have our own eco-lodges: terra verde in Reserva Ecológica boca Malinowski and in Sandoval Lake. The services available include: bungalow (single/double), dining room, kitchen, toilets, showers, hiking trails and bar. In these lodges you will enjoy a unique stay surrounded by virgin forests.
Our third objective is the reforestation of native plants in the region.
